Book Title : My Dangerous Valentine
Author : Cherie Mitchell
A remote cabin in the woods. A stupid dare. And a man on the run.
Abby Jefferies has it all - a great social life, wonderful friends, and money to spend on whatever she desires. The one thing she doesn't have is a man to love, a man to have and to hold, but hey - Abby could have one of those if that was what she really wanted. However, a disappointing previous relationship has left her wary of men and unable (or unwilling?) to trust.
Life is good. Until one night after a few too many drinks with her girlfriends, Abby agrees to a dare. If she loses the toss of the dice she will agree to be handcuffed to the childish and endlessly annoying Michael Brown for the entire month of February. Which of course includes Valentine's Day, the most romantic night of the year.
Abby takes the bet - after all, she can't lose. Or can she? Has Abby just set herself up for a rollercoaster ride of thrills the like of which she could have never anticipated? What secret is Michael hiding, and has Abby inadvertently allowed herself to become involved in something more dangerous than anyone could have ever predicted?
The cover and the title is very appropriate for the theme of the book.
I liked the way the story was written. Perfect romantic read with all the much needed spice-up elements and mystery.
There were many favorite lines but my most favorite cute line was “ sure with utter certainty that this time around she would be a more than willing captive with absolutely no plans to escape”.
Buy it and read it. It is definitely worth your investment of time and money.
I wish Cherie Mitchell all the very best for her future authorship works.
